AliExpress has become the first cross-border platform in Europe! Temu stormed into Top10!

According to the Cross-Border Commerce Europe data report, in 2022, the total turnover of cross-border e-commerce platforms in Europe (including Britain, Switzerland and Norway) reached 265 billion euros (excluding the sales of travel products). Among them, 167 billion euros came from e-commerce platforms, accounting for 63% of the total. Among many e-commerce platforms, the top 100 cross-border e-commerce platforms in Europe contributed 140 billion euros in sales, accounting for 83.8% of the total.

The top 100 e-commerce platforms showed significant growth:

In 2022, 80 of the top 100 e-commerce platforms are pure e-commerce platforms, and by 2025, their market share will increase to 85%. Among them, among the 80 pure e-commerce platforms, 36 are C2C e-commerce platforms, accounting for 45%. Among the top 100 e-commerce platforms, 73 are B2C platforms (or B2C+C2C+C2B) and 20 are multi-channel service e-commerce platforms, providing a combination of self-owned inventory and third-party products. The goal of these platforms is to increase the share of third-party products from the current average of 30% to 40% by 2025, thus promoting greater cross-border trade.
